Programme Objectives

  • Sharpens the cultural sensitivity among students through a cultural studies framework

  • Imparts basic media/communications theories for further studies or work

Programme Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, students will be able to:​
  • communicate convincingly in speech, writing and presentation in both English and Chinese languages for further studies and work;
  • apply a range of IT applications and quantitative skills to support and enhance work;
  • ​apply critical thinking and reasoning skills, thus enhancing problem solving;
  • demonstrate knowledge in issues pertinent to Cultural Studies;
  • articulate the concepts/theories of Cultural Studies in local, context; and
  • apply communication skills in both corporate communication and publication relations realms.
