About University of Stirling

University of Stirling was founded by Royal Charter in 1967 in Scotland with a mission of being “a University of distinction that is ambitious, accessible and self-reliant, and whose purpose is to develop these qualities in our students, staff and the communities we serve.”  It ranked 384th in QS World University Rankings and 47th in the Complete University Guide in 2015/16.

It is one of the UK’s leading research universities in the fields of health and wellbeing, the environment and people, culture and society, enterprise and the economy, and sport.  In learning and teaching, it aims at delivering high-quality programmes that produce intellectually able graduates who are highly sought after by employers.
